The Union Management Team met on April 17th.  CTS/WaTech is making strides in cost recovery toward their budget.  Adding back some services.  Streamlining other business operations.  We received an update on the movement off the mainframe.  Had some discussion about the recent layoff and the execution of the layoff process – due to careful planning only one person left the agency and that was a reversion to a previous position, others landed in vacancies held for the potential of layoff and vacant positions were abolished.  We had a short conversation about staff wearing short during hot weather since WaTech does not have dress code other than a verbal – business casual.  There was another short conversation about permissible political memorabilia in people’s cubes.
