1-    DTB DOC 410.210-220-235-920 Use of Force

Working with the Teamsters to identify discrepancies with the policies. We have concerns Prisons and the Field operations are combined. There are different constitutional issues. Met with management and developed a subcommittee to evaluate the policies.

First round of bargaining held and second is being scheduled.

Several meetings held to reduce the scope of time spent at the table. LRA is drafting the agreements and sending them over.

Pending final policy review with changes.

2-    DOC 380.200 Community Supervision

Workload, obtained an agreement with management to implement workload reductions strategies short term, midterm, and long term.  Monitoring implementation for compliance.

Management is overdue with the second round of reductions.

3-    DOC 460.130 Hearings

Significant issues related to increased duties and responsibilities. This item will be a supplemental contract item, increased complexity and duties attributed to PRP’s.

Re-opened discussions based upon implementation in preparation for supplemental bargaining.

4-    DOC 460.140 Violations

Significant issues related to increased duties and responsibilities. Workload is another significant concern. 5-    DOC Identification Placards

Change eliminated the ability for CCO’s to wear placards that say Police when serving warrants with other LE…safety

Working with Mac Pevey to come to an agreement that will reflect significant changes to apparel policy.

Met with management, close to impasse, but management requested more time to complete a proposal that is more aligned with our goals.

6-    DOC OMNI Stoppage Time Calculation

Early release issue, safety concerns. Pending agreement and timeframe for solutions to the responsive/passive approach to one that does not place staff potentially hostile situations.

7-    Termination Release Verification Process

Early release issue, safety concerns. Pending agreement and timeframe for solutions to the responsive/passive approach to one that does not place staff potentially hostile situations.
